Do not get these two confused with 2 characters & Wilma are dynamic duo who represents the College of Arizona. Back in the 50's when Elvis was rocking the charts ; Wilbur started to rock the scholars and fans of the faculty. With a live wildcat preceding him, Wilbur knew he had enormous shoes to fill and had done an outstanding job of it.
Bob White was the inventor of Wilbur the Wildcat mascot. He illustrated a cartoon in the school's newspaper depicting the life of this wild personality. A student by the name of Ed Stuckenhoff was the first ever to don the Wildcat mascot costume. After just about thirty long years, the Varsity of Arizona noticed that this wildcat mascot failed to appear complete. After some consideration, they knew Wilbur was in desperate need of a mate! Wilma the Wildcat mascot was then made and the 2 got married publically. Their wedding vows were recently renewed during a football game in 2006. Wilbur and Wilma are as charming as Mickey & Minnie Mouse.
Being a wildcat mascot and native of Arizona, Wilbur has been known to get into personality. Dressing up in a costume complete with a cowboy hat, bandana, and a gun belt, Wilbur is ready to for a duel of any kind…especially one on the field. This mascot seems often with the cheerleading squad. He has their back and in turn, they were his fave guests at his marriage promise renewal! Wilbur is known to do go hell for leather in his job and even upset the opposing teams. Wilbur has been on the receiving end of a punch given out by a rival team. Not all mascots would gladly take a beating for their school!
For anyone who just can't get too much of Wilbur and Wilma, you can lease them for any event or party on your calendar! Just pick up the phone and reserve them as soon as possible. A pair like this is very much in demand. If you have children, make sure to take them to the biggest birthday whack of the year. Celebrating his fiftieth birthday, the football field will be alive with all sorts of festivities for Wilbur this autumn. Called the best wildcat mascot in the west, Wilbur the wildcat mascot will keep entertaining fans for years to come.
